Monet Clayton
FounderMonet is a producer, writer, filmmaker, and founder of Safe Haven Films, where she develops, packages, and produces bold, character-driven stories across film and television.
Prior to launching Safe Haven, Clayton served as Vice President of Development & Production at Southpaw Entertainment. Her producing credits include Inheritance, starring Lily Collins and Simon Pegg, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and Every Breath You Take, starring Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, and Sam Claflin. During her tenure, she helped develop and set up projects across FX, Netflix, Amazon, and other major platforms, including a multimillion-dollar book adaptation acquired by Apple.
Her career spans more than a decade across development, production, programming, and writing, with experience at NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Netflix, Paramount +, and other leading entertainment companies. As a writer and producer, Clayton has developed projects with Paramount+, Amazon, STX Entertainment, and additional studio and independent partners.
Clayton is an alumna of the Sundance Lab Institute, Yale’s Connected Leadership, and has served as a guest lecturer for UCLA’s Film & Television Extension program.
Through Safe Haven, she is currently developing and packaging a slate of film and television projects alongside filmmakers, talent, financiers, and creative partners.
Clayton is a member of the Producers Guild of America and represented by Entertainment 360 and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
Jack Tynan
Director of DevelopmentJack Tynan is a producer, writer, and development executive whose work spans story development, creative collaboration, and building film and television projects from the page toward production. As Director of Development at Safe Haven, he works closely with writers and directors to shape material, develop projects creatively, and identify the filmmakers, cast, and partners who can bring them to life.
He is currently writing and producing a television adaptation of Ugo Nwasike’s THE FUND, alongside a slate of film and television projects in development at Safe Haven Films.
Jack’s background spans acting on stage and screen, writing, directing, and hands-on production, including directing and producing David Mandell’s one-man play IT’S A PHASE. His multidisciplinary experience informs an approach grounded in character, performance, visual storytelling, and the practical realities of bringing a story to the screen.
Jack is also an alumni of McGill and UCLA’s Film Extension Program. Beyond film, Jack’s professional background also includes work in suicide prevention and consulting at Deloitte.
